On December 22, 2025, Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced that they have reached a tentative agreement. A ratification vote by CUPW members, conducted by the union, is the next step in the process.


Canada Post announced that the voting process by CUPW members will take place from April 20 to May 30, 2026.


Both parties anticipate the agreement to be ratified and have confirmed that there will be no labour disruptions during the ratification process.


If ratified, the new agreement would provide labour certainty through January 31, 2029.
